I have found I get quite bold at filk circles, have been giving up the practice that most non-pros[3] seem to have of apologizing preemptively, and just sing to enjoy myself singing.

This is certainly not directed at you--

I hate that. If you're gonna sing in public, then do it. I broke Sir Charles of Dublin of introducing everything he'd sing with an apology and it sorta turned into a rule in Caidan Bardic Circles of "Don't Apologize."

All I did was point it out to him, and he went hmmmmmmmm. Haven't heard him do it since.
