poetry du jour

I have this poem in my head today, and thought I'd share it, it's a nice one.
Jenny Kissed Me

Jenny kiss'd me when we met,
  Jumping from the chair she sat in;
Time, you thief, who love to get
  Sweets into your list, put that in!
Say I'm weary, say I'm sad,
  Say that health and wealth have miss'd me,
Say I'm growing old, but add,
  Jenny kiss'd me.

Thank you. I've been thinking of this one recently, too. I think it was from visiting grandkids :<) .

Oh, I love that one. Weirdly, I first ran into it in a horror novel where the protagonist was named Jenny. The murderer recited it to her. Lovely association, huh?
