Buy Danish

I generally try desperately to avoid political stuff. Whenever I've posted anything that can even be construed as political, people have decided to go get nasty in my comments and I've regretted it. This time I am anyway. (Get nasty with me? Get tossed out.)

Support freedom of speech and freedom of the press? Then buy Danish!

Hm, I don't think I like Havarti. I wonder what other cheeses are Danish. Buttercookies, YUM, I'm sure I can find some of those. Maybe it's time for the kids to get more Legos. They say you can get the hams at a Sams club, but I haven't a membership, anyone know where else?

Mmmmm.... cheese.

The Danes are really rather splendid: They can dine out on their courage during WW2 for the rest of history, I expect.

"We're not heroes or martyrs", so say the Danes
"We were just looking after our own."

From Denmark 1943, by Fred Small.

That line *still* chokes me up, every time I hear it.

Btw, at least around here, Havarti comes with or without dill and/or caraway. I prefer the "plain" version, myself. Particularly melted in a toaster oven, over four-ingredient bread (flour, water, salt, yeast).
