I love that dress! I'm just about to start one for my daughter, too. I'm putting silvery-clear beads on light yellow cotton-ease.
I got my beads at Hobby Lobby, but Joann (the superstore near Ridgmar Mall) and Michael's both sell them. Also, there's a really nice bead store in SW Fort Worth on Granbury Road, a few blocks south of I-20. It's kind of pricey compared to craft stores, but they have a terrific selection. It's called the Artful Bead: http://www.artfulbead.com/index.html The staff there are really friendly and helpful! But, be warned, the beads are loose in open, divided display cases (not bags like the craft store) that sit at about table height - shiny, sparkly stuff within reach is very tempting for young fingers, at least for my daughter. (She's nearly four, as well.)
