Experiment frogging
Well, that was an experiment.
I have an octagonal coaster I like to make, miniaturized from a pretty octagonal swirl cloth that can make a good dishcloth or heavy doily for lamps or dishes or such.
I'm going to make a bunch for
kattelyn and
fordprfct's table, the better to not have my cup drip condensation all over gaming papers.
I wanted to try some variations. So I decided to use this no-jog spiral striping technique, with three colors, and it's best done in thirds anyway, so I can make it a nine-sided piece....
Nice idea, and I had the technique working well, but it looked dorky. I think this pattern needs to be a solid color. Oh well. Frog pond it is. But now I know.
I may well play around with the shapes, though. Could be interesting to have a set of several different shapes.
