Our girl, on stage

celticdragonflyMaggie had speech therapy again today with Maricarol. She brought another lady to observe - another trainee therapist, I think, they've done that before. I think they really like using Maggie for observations. She's a cheerful social girl, she LOVES visitors, and she loves the "on-stage" time. Especially the first 10 minutes or so of one of Maricarol's visits, Maggie is so obviously On Stage and sparkling to get attention! And it really works on Maricarol, they ham it up with each other.
Maggie's also a good success story for them - she has really responded so well to the therapy. I think part of it is just loving the extra people attention. She is doing very well. She's starting to get into action words, and starting to try to imitate 2-syllable words, and add -ing to what verbs she knows. (Sounds really funny trying to do it, but it is recognizable)
She's also getting into coloring, and will spend a chunk of time in her high chair with paper and crayons, scribbling. (I can't remember who suggested the high chair for that, but I am so glad they did. No coloring all over the walls, yay.) She doesn't seem to be trying to eat the crayons any more, hope that sticks. I wonder what age to start her with clay on?
