test knitting woes

AGHHH!

Kid-sock size with 8 pattern repeats in the leg took too much yarn, went into the 2nd ball. I had it, but if I'm going to be sharing this pattern, I don't want to do something that annoying. So now I'm doing another test knit. Finishing up #2, with six pattern repeats in the leg.

Just. Ran. Out. Of. Yarn. As I was about to start the toe reductions.

Hear that sound? It's me pounding my fist impotently on the desk. Although the rain and thunder probably drowned it out.

So I guess I'm going to do ANOTHER test knit with 5 pattern repeats, although I feel like that's not going to be as good a sock. And I want to take the leftover 2nd ball from the 8 pattern repeat and see if there's enough left for a toddler version, and urge people to buy 2 balls and do the combination.

I have to html-ize all this, too, along with the other 3 sizes, and I don't have fancy software, I do it all by hand with notepad.

I am blatantly ignorning the dirty kitchen to work on this. Sigh.
