what did we say?
Jul. 20th, 2004 12:09 pmShortly after we moved in, the house next door to the south went up for sale. (And has since been sold and moved into)
Now the house next door to the north is up for sale.
Honestly, we haven't had the chance to do anything to scare anyone away yet!
Wish we had some friends looking for a nice 3 bd, 2 ba house, 1504 sq ft. Pity they haven't pictures up. Hey, they have storm doors.

Date: 2004-07-20 10:59 am (UTC)West of Dallas, west of Fort Worth, on I-20 past Weatherford, southwest past Brock, past the point the proverbial blacktop gives way to gravel and the gravel to dirt and dirt road peters out to a dead end, my in-laws enjoy some rural splendor.
Hot running water, flush toilets, microwave oven, fridge, freezer, telephone, satellite TV, daily mail delivery and once a week trash collection. About the only concession to "rural" backwardness is a dial-up internet connection and reliance on a septic tank.
I gotta tell ya', being a hick from the sticks is a lot harder than it used to be.
