As best as I can remember, it is typical for babies who are getting into standing and cruising to learn to plump down on their diaper-cushioned little bottoms when they go down. Jamie has not learned to do this yet. If he falls backwards, it's still all the way down, like a treetrunk, and whack on his head. He does not seem receptive to being taught about plumping down on his bottom, either. What he has learned, though, is to go from standing down onto his knees. Okay, if that works for him.

Also, he isn't cruising yet. Standing lots. Standing holding on by only one hand, lots. But no cruising. I thought for a bit he was going to try it last night on the couch, but he didn't. Well, he'll get there eventually.
