Felting progress
Aug. 26th, 2004 12:39 pmThe knitting part for Felting Experiment #1 is done. The actual felting part will wait until later, when
selenite is home and can take over the Baby con.
bkseiver sent me a list of felting rules from a friend of hers, and the first two are:
1. The item will felt very slowly if you stand by the washing machine and
monitor it.
2. The item will over-felt and shrink dramatically if a telemarketer calls,
and you step away from the washer for 39 seconds to tell them you have wood
floors, so you don't have any carpet to clean.
So for now I'm going back to working on the bamboo stitch kitchen towel, which is pretty and useful and has a lovely feel, and is almost done.
As the kids allow me to get any work done, of course.

Date: 2004-08-26 11:18 am (UTC)I haven't tried knitting a kitchen towel yet. I've done several dishcloths, and I love them greatly (although, alas, my favorite yarn faded so fast you can barely tell it used to be a non-white ombre).
