What a cool world it has become. I just got an email from someone that used to work with my dad. She googled his name, and found
my wedding webpage. And then emailed me. So I've forwarded it on to Dad. She said that Dad used to talk about me and my sisters all the time, and she'd wondered how we'd turned out.

Dad was apparently her first supervisor at the company - irony is that he's still there. That's a rarity these days. He's been working there - well, for that company, anyway, albeit in two different states - for thirty years.

The Tug of Gondor

Random thought as Karl's watching the Fellowship of the Ring DVD - Y'know, that's just not what I imagined the Horn of Gondor sounding like... it sounds like a tug crossing the East River.

Yeah, we gave in and got it a while back. Yeah, I expect we're going to buy the extended 4 DVD set in November. (Well, I *know* we're going to buy it, the only question will be when can we pull lose the money for it). Hey, the guy does that good a job, he deserves to be supported by the fans....
