Sad anniversary

I hadn't realized until I saw a news story online that today is the anniversary of the Challenger crash. That's right, it was the day before my 17th birthday. And now it's 17 years ago. Half my lifetime. Hardly seems that it could be that long ago. I think of that as the defining memory of my generation - like my parents remembering the Kennedy assassination.

It does explain why I have no memories of my 17th birthday. (Although plenty of my 16th)
