Oh, man, I died and went to heaven.
A while back somebody linked to a Ben & Jerry promotion where you promise to vote in the national election (always have!) and the first however many got a code for a free download from iTunes. I figured what the heck, maybe there'd be something I'd want.
Now, I've said for YEARS that if I could electronically buy individual songs for a reasonable price, I'd jump on it. And post-napster, as a few "legal buy" websites popped up, I'd checked a couple of them. And it was a matter of oh, I could buy them... if I was interested in songs from experimental bands I'd never heard of. No thanks.
Well, tonight I went ahead and installed iTunes and went to see what they had to use my free song. Whoa. I used my free song and have bought nine more already. Wheeee.
Got a version of "Turn the World Around" - Brendan will be happy.
