new sock idea

I just started the second sock on the child's size test knitting for the pattern I'm writing up. I need to do the knitalong socks that are starting this month. And there are certainly LOTS of projects after that which are lined up waiting for my time.

So why is it I just came up with a new idea for a sock design?

I'm going to HAVE to try to sketch it out. Dunno if this would work - I saw this one stitch pattern as a flat design, and it's not the sort of thing you'd normally think of as a sock design at all. But I'm thinking... I could use it as an element in a pretty cool pair of clog socks. I think. Need time to think, play with excel, work it out.

Man, trying to convert this flat stitch pattern into knitting in the round should be easy, why is it being annoying?

And does anybody know how to teach a LJ client into listening to what iTunes is playing instead of WinAmp?
