Quote and bag
Feb. 7th, 2005 10:51 amQuote of yesterday, seen on a shirt (brown, of course):
Money talks. Chocolate sings!
We went out yesterday and did various errands. Including one I'd been wanting to do for a while. While travelling cross-country I tend to use Cracker Barrels as regular rest stops, because hey, they're open, and they have clean bathrooms with a changing table, that are always in the same spot. And the kids like the rocking chairs. So on the December/January Megatrip I'd seen these cute quilted bags at them, including some in purple/lavender, that I liked. Kinda like a cheap knockoff of the kind of thing Vera Bradley bags do. I'd wanted one of those, but can't afford them, plus frankly whoever picks their fabrics never completely matches my taste. SO we went to both of the CBs in town, and I found my bag. Yay me. My old purse is all ripped up, and using the clear blue plastic knitting workbags as a purse has limited utility.
Apparently Maggie thought stopping at 2 Cracker Barrels meant we MUST be on the road again - after the second one, as we got back on the highway, she started merrily chattering about "Granadad and Nana!" Um. No, kid, we're not going to your grandparents' house. Sorry.
