I don't believe it!
Jun. 12th, 2005 09:02 pmSo as many of you know, I angsted mightily over preparing an egg-free birthday cake for Maggie. Not because Maggie seems to have any troubles with eggs, but because Jamie does. I wanted him to be able to eat the birthday cake with her.
It seemed to come out reasonably well. A bit flatter than usual, but moist and tasty. At least I think so and nobody complained.
However, just before we were ready to get to the cake portion of the party, Jamie fell asleep. And so had no cake.
I consoled myself with thinking at least he'd have cake tonight after dinner. They were in their high chairs eating, I was here working on bills. I said to Karl, "you want to check and see if the kids are ready for dessert?", and looked over - there was Jamie, asleep in his high chair.
Gah.
Well, Maggie's enjoying another piece!
