quiet day

Jamie's speech got cancelled today. I do not mind this - the therapist needs to go to training today and wasn't ready and needed more time, and I'm glad to make her life easier, she does so much for us. Plus, I'm tired out from staying up late yesterday and can use the rest. She did set a date with me for having the evaluator guy come see Jamie, and then maybe we can find out if his stimming is actually signs of regressive autism, or if it's just sensory issues, or WHAT.

I'm glad yesterday was a lovely May Day for me. I enjoyed it, although I didn't get out as much as I'd planned, because Jamie was being difficult earlier in the day. I did make bread, though, and went out to friends' in the evening - and at the last minute decided heck with it and dressed for the day.

Today is dark gray and off-and-on rainy and thundering. I'm sitting under my S.A.D. light. I think we will just have a quiet day at home.

Oh, foodies?

On a discussion of teatime treats, I mentioned that I was introduced to lace cookies in March. A chef lady brought them to the monthly knitting get-together, and they're like CRACK. I wish I knew where to buy them.

I did some googling. I found this, but those don't really look like these did. They were thin, rolled up into little tubes and chocolate dipped at one end. They melted in your mouth and were addictive.

Anybody want to share what they know about them?
