I need some sort of mental direct connection to my computer, so I can do entries without having to type around a baby.

But on to something my flist might actually be able to help me find. Yesterday after the monthly knitting get-together - I'd tell about that, but I dunno, I'm pretty upset about the mistake - I went to hunt for new spring/summer clothes for the toddlers. Karl had suggested Target. Next time I must tell him no, they just tick me off too much. As usual, they did. Found 2 pairs of 2T boys shorts that I considered acceptable. The girls' shorts were short-shorts. At 2? Yeeek. The boys shorts are actually awfully long - just over kneelength on Maggie, midcalf on Jamie. Bought no shirts at all. I was annoyed enough that I forgot to get more undies for Maggie, so possibly I'll go back later. Sadly, that's the one place that has had reliable supplies of training panties in 2T, the Walmart apparently assumes you won't try to train them until size 3 or 4.

What I really want to get is a bunch of plain, bright primary colors, decent quality, unprinted unisex t-shirts in toddler sizes. I can't find that. There was a t-shirt outlet place back in LA, on Sepulveda at - oh bother, I forget the name of the street, the next major street north of Manhattan Beach. I wish I could find someplace like that here. Hobby Lobby carries plain shirts for crafting in kids sizes, but NOT toddler sizes.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Wrong side of the world for you, I know, but there is a t-shirt outlet on 35E just north of the 635 exit. I don't know that they have toddler sizes, but there are enough tourist trap t-shirts sold in this town that someone has to be supplying the blanks.

Bet there is one in Fort Worth side.

There isn't anything on the Fort Worth side. (She says dejectedly)

I suspect they're all ordering online. I did find some online sources, and I'm thinking maybe I just order a bunch from them. Annoying to have to wait and pay shipping, but oh well.

I'm trying to decide if child's XS(2/4) will work, or if I should stick with the much smaller selection that comes in toddler sizes.

I was going to recommend the place Cawti did. It's right next to a reasonably decent Army/Navy store (where this really gorgeous Estonian girl works... . . . but I digress :)
I could pop in there and see what they have, maybe get a sample or two? I could pop them in the mail to you if we're not planning any gets-together.

It's been awhile, and they may have changed their stock, but have you tried Garden Ridge for the plain shirts for crafting in smaller sizes? I love that store almost as much as Central Market, and of course, they don't have them here.

Googling on: white shirts "toddler sizes"

http://www.elliebelly.com/infants.html -- they have different dyes and some simple animal print designs. (E.g., a fish on the chest.) They do seem to be a bit expensive -- prices start at $16 or so.

I can't figure out what's going on with their prices. I got there via one of the little sidebar ads on the Google page, so caveat emptor. Still, those are really cheap, and it suggests that it sells t-shirts to people who do mass printing or something.

http://www.sunflowermarketing.com/tshirts.htm -- they seem to be providers of printing services, though -- you have to ask them for a quote.

http://www.adcohearing.com/apparel.html - $16 frog shirt in blue and purple

http://www.homegrownsportinggoods.com/teeshirts.html - another "mail us for a quote" site.

child interfering, musrt end off for now.

Yeah, $16 is way more than I want to spend.

Shirtsupplier.com is one of the ones I'm looking at online. The 2nd link SAYS toddler, but actually only has youth sizes. The first link varies by color but they're under $3 each.

I'm also looking at stuff at shirtdistributor.com, where there's a good variety at reasonable prices. Not toddler sizes per se, but
Size: XS(2/4), S(6/8), M(10/12), L(14/16)
so I figure the XS ought to work.

I'd pretty much decided to give in and just order a batch from a place online. But I hate to deny you the opportunity to go ogle this Estonian girl!

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to find out what their selection and prices are.
