Unexpected downside

celticdragonflySo, we were among the people with an existing subscription to Girl Genius when Girl Genius went online. So we got a postcard from Studio Foglio to send back, saying whether a) we wanted the money back or b) please apply the money towards credit in their online store, and send the Ashcan edition (small, black and white only) of what would have been issue #14, but is now being done online.
Of course we said B. The ashcan edition arrived this weekend. Karl checked the mail, so I had to wait for him to finish it before I could devour it.
This morning on my gmail account I saw someone posting something about today's strip (it updates M-W-F) to the list - so I went into another tab and went to the Girl Genius site, forgetting that oh yeah, I have the ashcan - so I've already seen it. Quite a moment of disappointment. I know what's coming now for the rest of the episode.
Well, I still get to see them in color now...
