My parents, sister, and b-in-law are all safe in Zachary, they actually have power back again, and the worst that has happened is a leak in the roof. (And a bit of excitement - some idiot in the neighborhood didn't secure his trampoline, so it was blowing down the street.)

And the package with my yarn from Knitpicks just arrived! Also a package that I believe is a quilt I ordered, but it's taped to a fare-thee-well and I shall wait and let selenite open it for me when he gets home. But I am going to leap into work with these yarns - there's stuff in this package for six different projects, two of which have tight deadlines.

Sorry, bkseiver, no more knitting on your project for now - I did get four of them done.

Now I have to estimate what size needle to start with and do a gauge swatch. I'm redesigning a project for a lighter weight yarn.
