cats, two, check

I'd forgotten to put this in earlier. Maggie and Jamie were playing outside earlier, and I went out with them. Maggie got me to play a game where I followed her around, and we ended up in the very corner of the yard, right where the fence meets the side of the house, with the side of the front yard on the other side of the fence. (Clear as mud, that)

I hear a meowing. As Maggie and I are talking, I hear more meowing in response to us. I thought at first it must be the neighbors' cat, they let her run around outside. I looked through the fence, peering through the crack, hey, it looks like a Siamese, do we have a new cat in the neighborhood - wait, that's KARINA. So I went through the house, back out the front, and went through the whole dance of getting the cat who'd been out some unknown length of time to let me touch her, and then brought her back inside.

Come to think of it, I can't remember her last night, and she usually is on the bed along with Rorik. I suspect she got out some time yesterday and spent the night out, poor dear.

She's been following me around more than usual tonight, and let Karl pick her up, cuddle her upside down, and rub her belly. She IS starved for attention just now.

Oh, poor Puddytat!

Our Siamese used to give us long lectures any time we came back from a convention trip, on the iniquity of leaving furry folks to be fed by strangers.
