Ow my eyes!

Anyone who looks at my friends page may have noticed that I have a feed from the You Knit What? blog. There they show some pretty amazing fug. The motto is "just because you can, doesn't mean you should".

This, however, is fuglier than anything I've ever seen there. And that's saying a lot.

“A model presents a creation by designer Anna Modig of Sweden from the Beckmans College of Design Nybrogatan during the 2005 International Young Fashion Designers Competition in Paris December 15, 2005.”

Usually with links I might say "thanks to so and so". Um. Well, this one is from [livejournal.com profile] selenite. That's all I'm saying.

(Cough. Cough. Wheeze.) What IS that awful thing?! And I thought my maternity wear was bad--I'm downright cosmopolitan by comparison. I'm just glad I wasn't eating when I saw that image.

What were they thinking?

Oh, I'm dyin' over the commentary, too.

It's the Wicker Gown! There'll be a hot time on the ol' gown tonight!

Oh my goodness. That is lovely. I especially like the way it highlights the cellulite on her thighs.

You know, it reminds me of the underpinnings of some historical fashions--bustles and panniers come to mind. And, after all, "pannier" is the French word for basket. So really, she's clearly modelling her underwear.

The Wicker Ma'am!

And Bilingual Literacy Cheers to Joyeuse! That's one in the bread-basket for all fashion lovers, truly.

Beckmans College of Design Nybrogatan

"Nybrogatan"? Wow.

I think that's the worst misspelling of "Nyarlathotep" I've ever seen.

And surely that's what was intended, right? What with that whole business with the Unspeakable Horror That Humanity Was Not Meant To Know....
