poor neglected harp

Okay, that was sad. Earlier today Maggie was playing on the piano, and asked me to come play on my harp for her. She's not allowed to touch the harp.

So I did.

I had to *dust* her. (The harp. Not Maggie. [livejournal.com profile] selenite found that confusing earlier) I tuned her and and played around a little.

I seriously need more time on my harp. At least I do now know I can handle the harpstool again. I couldn't for quite awhile due to coccyx problems and surgery recovery.

Just now the kids were stable and happy, so I went back to the harp and started repracticing some of my favorite piece of music for her, which I had handy. I want to find the harp music and start practicing again. (And get those boxes OUT of the corner next to the harp, so I can get to her more easily)

I shouldn't, I suppose. I have so much housework I should be doing, and I have knitting commission work I should be spending every spare moment on. But it did feel nice.

Flatten the Tune", with the 2nd verse "get me the tune, get me the tune" does NOT have sheet music, only lyrics

No one else has ever mentioned it, that I can recall. You're right, though - it is an amusing bit of irony! :)
