It might not have totally fried the router but messed up it's settings. Do you remember if you had to change any settings in the router when you first set it up or did you just plugged it in?

If you just plugged it in, then the router is most likely toast. If you had to change settings then you may be able to reset it to the configuration that was used previoulsy.
