9:59 am, by c-section. Apgar 7 / 10. 8 lb 5 oz. Turtle has curly brown hair, good suck reflex. Apparently the issue of FirstnameA MiddlenameB or FirstnameB MiddlenameA has not been settled yet. Heck with it, I'm posting anyway.

Where is everybody on IM today? I want to bounce at everyone!

selenite, I want a weekend trip to Baton Rouge soon to see my nephew!

Tell her it doesn't much matter what order the put the names, cuz everyone's gonna call him Turtle. When he's 70, people will ask him how he came to be called Turtle, and he'll say "Oh, hell, I don't know. I've alwasy been called that." :)

Name issued settled, as above. Neonatologist checking out all the bad things that could happen, like soft bones from Coumadin, etc. Still showing arrhythmias, O2 sat dropping below 90 now and then. Cardiac echo showed 2 small ventricular septal defects, and a (so far) patent foramen ovale. Echo tape and EKG shipped across town to pediatric cardiologist, so he could "interpret the entrails".

At our request, Neonatologist wrote order for baby to be brought to phoenixsinger on his way to the NICU -- she hadn't gotten to hold him yet. He was able to spend about 8 minutes with her before his O2 fell enough that they wanted to get him on over to the unit.

Make that curly strawberry blonde hair. Kid cleans up cute!
