I have a sort of knitting question. If one had a friend who was a knitter, but one was not a knitter oneself, would yarn be a good gift for one's knitting friend? And how would a non-knitter know what to get? (I have no plans for such a gift, but I often see things and think - oh, so-and-so would love that!) But reading your above discussion of yarn weights, etc. I realized that I didn't even understand what you were saying. Except that obviously you have certain preferences.
