Crumpets anyone?
I'm looking at the Tea Rose color Cotton Fleece yarn I have to make a dress for Maggie out of. Looks like this dress is the one I'm going to do:

I'm trying to decide what color beads to go with - try to find a contrasting pink? Lilac? White?
Also wondering if I should order them to be mailed to me, or if anybody knows of a good place in the DFW area that sells size 6 glass seed beads? I don't know much about beads. Points for being on the FW side of things.

Beads
(Anonymous) 2006-04-12 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)I got my beads at Hobby Lobby, but Joann (the superstore near Ridgmar Mall) and Michael's both sell them. Also, there's a really nice bead store in SW Fort Worth on Granbury Road, a few blocks south of I-20. It's kind of pricey compared to craft stores, but they have a terrific selection. It's called the Artful Bead: http://www.artfulbead.com/index.html The staff there are really friendly and helpful! But, be warned, the beads are loose in open, divided display cases (not bags like the craft store) that sit at about table height - shiny, sparkly stuff within reach is very tempting for young fingers, at least for my daughter. (She's nearly four, as well.)
