Repair, yay

So the washer repair dude, scheduled to be at my place between 3 and 7, got here very shortly after 3. And it's now fixed. I had this moment when the door opened of thinking "my god, they sent me Nobby Nobbs as a repairman". But I cannot fault his efficiency. The guy had diagnosed the problem within a minute. A broken switch, and he explained how that heavy load would have caused it. And he had the part. Whew.
