Okay, I'm amused.

You are 'Deck the Halls'! Let's be honest, it isn't
Christmas you are celebrating, is it? In fact,
you know full well that there were no shepherds
in the fields in December, and that the date of
Christmas was put at midwinter specifically to
coincide with the older celebrations of Yule
and the birth of Mithras. An unashamed Pagan,
you take great glee in the number of carols
referring to holly, evergreens and winter's end,
and will sing them with gusto. You know where
they really came from. And you do enjoy the
seasonal celebrations, regardless of their
name... A merry Yule to you!
What Christmas Carol are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
I am not in the least surprised.
"Wreck the malls with cows on Harleys, fa la la la la, la la la la!"
I had my Mom, who's here visiting, take this - especially since she was about to go get her briefcase of music out of the car to practice and set up all the December music - she's a church music director these days, y'see. She got
You are 'Hark! The Herald Angels Sing'.
She says it makes her seem to take it much more seriously than she does - which I'm not surprised by, since it's her job.
You take Christmas very seriously. For you, it is a religious festival, celebrating the birth of the Saviour, and its current secularisation really irritates you. You enjoy the period of Advent leading up to Christmas, and attend any local carol services you can find,
Well, yes, she says, she's playing at them!
as well as the more contemplative Advent church services each Sunday. You may be involved in Christmas food collections or similar charity work. The midnight service at your church, with candles and carols, is one you look forward to all year,
She says she sure looks forward to that extra paycheck!
and you also look forward to the family get together on Christmas Day.
Well, yes, that's true, she says.
I'm really looking forward to the family get-together myself. Dad had to head back to Baton Rouge today, sadly no signs of Thumper yet. But we'll get to see him again when we go there in three weeks. Never since I moved out to go to college have I gotten to see him twice that close together! Or anything even near it.
At this rate, Thumper may only be a week old when we get there! Sigh...
