1. Botanist
Sorry, black thumb
2. Biologist
Could be great, if I had the training
3. Veterinary Technician
Vet was one of my childhood "when I grow up I wanna be" plans
4. Historian
OH yeah that'd be great
5. Zoologist
Sorta a combo of 2 and 3, really.
6.Conservator
"Museum curator" was probably my earliest "when I grow up I wanna be" plan!
7. Biological Tech
See #2
8. Paleontologist
OH yeah, oh yeah. In college, I considered it a natural pair with the anthropology classes.
9. Veterinarian
See #3
10. Taxidermist
Taxidermy is fascinating
11. Marine Biologist
Took a class in high school, was very interesting
12. Archivist
Records and libraries and books, oh my! I'm a bit surprised "librarian" didn't show up on the list.
13. Microbiologist
Took a class in college, was interested, wasn't really great at it.
14. Anthropologist
That's what my degree was in. I wanted to go into forensics. Sigh.
15. Pharmacologist
Could be good, yeah, I think I'd do reasonably well
16. Computer Support Person
That's what I did up until just before Maggie was born
I will now skip several for which the reaction was going to be "what?" "nah, don't think so" and "what is THAT?"
21. Website Designer
done that
22. Technical Writer
I used to think this wouldn't be bad, until I heard some of
joyeuse13's stories
skippity
26. Forensics Specialist
Yeah, that's what I had in mind in college
34. Interior Designer
Heck no. I'd just put bookcases all over and everybody except the geeky types would hate me.
38. Computer Trainer
Did some of that at TRW, enjoyed it and would have liked to get into it more
selenite asked me about the seemingly irrelevant ones, so I read them to him. He described what
"17. Industrial Designer " would be - and apparently Natalie Wood's character in Brainstorm fits that. THAT would be cool.
The frustrating thing is, of course, that I am NOT doing any of these things. I'm home with the kids. And since I am home with the kids, I expect I won't get to do these things in the future.
