Halloween party

Last night we went to the ORAC Halloween party, down at the MillerDome. Between surgeries and pregnancies and such, we haven't been for several years. I'm really glad we went.

It was a fairly low-key party, enjoyable and relaxed. They showed the Dr. Who episode "Blink", which I hadn't seen before, and yeah, fairly creepy. Hopefully will not spur nightmares. Also showed the Buffy episode "Hush", which we had seen, although we've only gotten a few episodes past that. I enjoyed watching both. They were showing some MST3K movie later, but I didn't watch that.

Her little boy Simon was there, too. He's getting close to 2.

Plenty of kids, since of course the Miller pair were there - Andrew is about 6 weeks younger than Maggie, and Elizabeth is about 18 months. They all had a good time, and Maggie and Andrew were particularly spending lots of time playing. Andrew suggested a walk in the moonlight, and the kids went out, accompanied by various adults. Later many of us went out onto the porch to see the golden moon, and Maggie and Andrew were playing on his swing and slide in the dark.

Maggie and Jamie were costumed as cowgirl and cowboy. I was dressed up western-style, too, but we didn't get any pictures of me.

Tim had the COOLEST gadget. He said he got it at Radio Shack. I Want One.

It's one of those little hang-around-your-neck fans - but it's also one of those light-up motion-persistence I-dunno-what-to-call-them thingies. Oooooh.

Eventually Alanna got too hot in the dinosaur outfit, plus the zipper sorta bit her, so we put her back in her Baby Browncoat outfit. Here she is with Daddy.

Oddly, the light made her look vaguely blue.

Some of our ORAC people took Texas Big Hair to all new levels in their costumes!






Alanna was fascinated by Tamisan's costume, and absolutely ADORED her bangles. Played with them, teethed on them, rattled them.

And Louann got to enjoy some Baby Time with her. There was a lot of Pass the Baby - Tamisan had her for a while, so did Sivi. I'm not remembering who all else had her.
