Cheerios, the world's amazing baby food

Okay... Alanna does not seem to be satisfied with nursing these days. She's grabbing for everything I eat, nursing and nursing and nursing and still trying to chew on my chin and cheek.

So... I just buckled her into a high chair for the first time, and gave her a pile of cheerios to gum on.

We'll see what she thinks. I'm not really ready for her to be ready for solids yet!

Not sure what else to give her - I could make up some oatmeal for her, I suppose. Or try her on apple sauce. I should pick up a banana sometime soon.

I started Carly on banana, scraped right off of the fresh fruit. She loved it, and it seemed to satisfy...

I'm sure I told you the story of when I became a Cheerio Extortionist.

Cheerios are so useful. Easy to carry. Distracting - watch baby try to pick them up. Educational - great for fine motor skills, see above comment about watching baby try to pick them up. Child safe - not many small things that are child safe.

How did parents survive pre-Cheerios??!!
