The new twin stroller is here! Yay!

I was determined that I would NOT go for the twin stroller until Jamie was MUCH older. After all, he deserved to be carried in the didymos sling, just as Maggie was! All that good closeness and AP babywearing stuff. But now I am finding that carrying a baby in a sling while you have a toddler is a
different proposition altogether. Sometimes it helps. Sometime - as when trying to change the toddler - it's a lot harder. I have to either change her bent over the back of the van, or wherever, WITH Jamie in the sling - oh my aching back - or try to find somewhere else to put him, and is it going to be safe? When he starts to roll over this is getting even uglier.

So we reconsidered when to get the twin stroller. We may only put him in it parttime...maybe sling him, but set him into the stroller with the seatbelt if I need to care for Maggie for a few minutes. Or it may be a nice way for him and Maggie to spend more time together. It's a side-by-side stroller - I thought the other kind was too isolating.

It's a Combi Twin Savvy stroller. My mother in law is funding it for us, bless her! It allegedly fits through standard doorways - we'll find out - and it does fold up really small and easy, as advertised. You can hook up a mp3/radio/cd player to the little speakers they give you that fit into pockets in the canopy, if you want. I may try that eventually.

The only disadvantage I see is that the storage pockets underneath aren't as big as I hoped. They probably are as big as what I'm used to, just split in two. Going to have to do some fiddling with the diaper bag, let alone the boppy. But I bet I can work it out. And if folds up smaller and easier than my current single stroller! (2ndhand, and in bad condition - we are getting RID of it.)

So maybe I should go run some errands with it.
