Alanna weekend update

I had a marvelous weekend - I got to go to a Texas cave tour for the first time, and enjoyed it thoroughly. I will be posting more details of my weekend later, with pictures from the cave. But first, Alanna updates and pictures.

On Saturday, Alanna cut her first tooth - lower right incisor broke through the skin. She's a month older than Maggie was for her first. This delay is fine with me!

And on Sunday, Alanna got herself up into a sitting position by herself for the first time.

So here are pictures, and a video of her sitting and playing and babbling.

	2008-01-26a We had dinner at a Marie Callender's in the Austin area. For dessert, we had pies with whipped cream. Remembering Alanna's joy in whipped cream, we asked for some for her.
	2008-01-26b They brought her a whole little dish of whipped cream. She didn't eat it all, but she enjoyed it very much.
	2008-01-26c Yum! Happy baby.
	2008-01-27a Alanna, just after sitting herself up for the first time.
	2008-01-28b She had gotten into a hands-and-feet position, with her feet spread way out, and pushed herself up and backwards.
	2008-01-27c She seemed to be fairly pleased with herself, and showed no signs of wanting to get back out of sitting up for some time.

Wow, her face is really starting to show some resemblance to the rest of the family.

Eventually she leaned too far back and fell over. She didn't like that.

We've been setting her down in a sitting position for some time, so generally she does manage to get out of it - usually leans herself forward and a bit to the side enough to get back down onto her belly, generally without TOO much trouble. This was just the first time she was able to get herself INTO the position.
