celticdragonflyI got Karl the Princess Bride on DVD for his birthday (well, it had extra goodies that our video tape copy didn't!). And we've been watching it some. Brendan likes it.
So Karl was upstairs with him last night giving him a breathing treatment for his asthma. The machine for it is hooked up in our bedroom. As they were leaving the room afterwards, Brendan asked Karl "can this be the Pit of Despair?"
Karl's reaction was No. No, our bedroom cannot be the Pit of Despair.
(My thought later - yeah, even if The Machine IS hooked up in there...)
That kid idenfies with the bad guys WAY too much. His favorite character is apparently Vizzini.

The other bit he's so fond of is the Inigo stuff - and that's one line that admittedly has more precedent for being repeated over and OVER and over. Although then I have the obvious return of "Stop SAYING that!"
