You are so talented! Now how do you wash them? Can they go in the wash just like anything else?

Yep. They're superwash wool with a bit of reinforcing nylon, they go through the washer and dryer. I'll try to keep them away from the loads with the velcro diaper covers, but otherwise, sure.

I love the rainbow socks! You are making me wish that I could knit (I seem to be a bit unteachable in this area)...

I used to think I was unteachable on it. I'd learned all kinds of other textile arts, but couldn't knit. Which was pretty embarrassing, and annoying. (I mean, I spin and weave, even!) I'd tried to learn several times, and then gone back to it and not been able to remember how to do the stitches. I finally had enough face time with my mom just before Maggie was born to get it all the way into muscle memory, and now I'm knitting away. Socks are fun projects, too - easily customizable, short enough not to drag, and there's lots of fun colorful sock yarns out there these days.

I have a feeling I need to find a left-handed knitter to teach me - my spatial abilities are poor, and I just cannot reverse things in my head...
