knots and socks
May. 4th, 2004 03:42 pmI'm most of the way through the gusset on the first of
selenite's Subtle Green Cabled Socks. But I got a knot in the yarn. Not a real knot, of course, but the kind where things get twisted and looped around, but it's tight enough that I can't get it undone, and I'm still feeling sick enough that it's just too much to deal with. So I'm setting it aside and hoping
selenite will help me with it tonight. I grabbed the size 3 DPNs and started on the 2nd of Maggie's rainbow socks, now that I have the other ball of yarn so I can finish them. They're to this pattern.
See? I don't have the dreaded sock syndrome. I don't, I don't, I don't. I got it cast on and partway into the 2nd repeat of the cuff pattern.
Then I heard the pitter patter of little feet upstairs - well, no, the Thump Thump Thump is more like it - Maggie was up from her nap. And she's now had a bath and fresh clothes, and now Jamie's waking up, too, so I'll get back to the socks later.
