My box from Smiley's Yarns came! Wooohooo, happy yarn stash dance!

The blue is lovely, the deep purple is gorgeous, better than it looked on the webpage. The pink is nice, as is the camel. The loden green is nicer than I expected. The moss Kroy isn't, it looked on the webpage more of a brown, in reality it's more of an olivey green. Not a bad color, just not one I'd use. I may give it as a gift. I'd planned to make one of the greens a gift anyway.

You are braver than I. I feel funny about ordering from the internet. I want to touch the yarn before I buy it...play with it a bit. Though I suppose I could order yarns I am familar with,,,like Lopi and Lamb's wool. Sigh. I MISS knitting right now. It has been more than 2 weeks since I knit...and I don't think I'll be able to knit for at least another month if not longer.

Loden green wool

I bought loden green sock wool in Sieverville, Tenn, because it was the only sock wool they had and I had nothing but a FO with me! Withdrawl! Didn't think I'd like it, but I knit it in the Purl Lace pattern from Socks X 3. I started it in the bed and breakfast on the mountaintop above Gatlinburg, and have come to think of that pair of socks as my "Mountain Green" socks. Funny thing, I have discovered that color green looks really good on my rosacia complexion. Who'd a thunk it?! Now have a (purchased) sweater to go with the socks.
