Why yes, it is perfectly ordinary in my house to say "The elephant, the octopus, and the butterfly are all in the washing machine."

And selenite understands me perfectly. Good thing we live together.

Whups, I forgot to get back to you on this. They were washed for his benefit, but not at his causing. The elephant and the octopus had been tossed around in the car on the floor for too long, and we wanted them available to him but more sanitary. And the butterfly was his teether/rattle, but selenite had figured it had been too close to where the anti-bug guy was spraying.
