I was discussing with
selenite how one of our friends found us/was found by us in commenting on his post about gay marriage, and that hey, hopefully this would show the more liberal people that we weren't hopeless. (Um, yes, we're all for it. "I love weddings! Drinks all around!")
We have discussed before how we're in this hopeless middle stage - conservatives would burn us for many of our opinions that they find too liberal, and the liberals consider us awful for many of our opinions they consider too conservative. In a Red and Blue divided world, we don't fit.
So I told
selenite "we're PURPLE, that's the trouble."

Date: 2004-05-28 12:06 pm (UTC)I don't think of you as purple - well, not in this way, anyway. I always have to stop to think which color is which, and apparently we're backwards from the rest of the world. Having remembered which is which, I think of you as extremely blue.
