domesticity and movie silliness
Jun. 10th, 2004 10:52 pmLovely blissful domestic evening - the rain stopped today, it was actually a sunny evening, so when
selenite came home, he put together Maggie's birthday present, the sand and water activity table, and set it up with its umbrella on the back patio slab. We sat out there together with Jamie in the evening breeze while Maggie and Brendan made messes with sand and water and had a fantastic time. Eventually they went upstairs for bathtime. Ahhh, bliss.
selenite is rewatching the Fellowship of the Ring, going back through the first 2 movies before renting Return of the King. The intro bits with Boromir suddenly has me reminded of a bit I saw somewhere on LJ discussing the movie Troy - "Gondor has no pants. Gondor needs no pants." Given that
selenite was sweet enough to let me go to a Saturday morning matinee last week, I bet he'd let me do it again - wish I had people to go MST3K Troy with. x
Side comment from
selenite - "Okay, elf woman who takes up with a human - true love, or fear of long-term commitment? Like my aunt who raised rabbits instead of dogs."

Date: 2004-06-11 08:26 am (UTC)Re Arwen: you know that I married a man older than I, with known health problems. His accident-prone-ness doesn't help matters. I understand Arwen somewhat; better to have all the time available with the one you love and treasure every moment than to go without him entirely. Oh Yeah.
