Maggie has three times today said "thanks" - at least it sounds like that's the word she's aiming at, and it's being used appropriately - without prompting.
Come now, you only get a small fraction of the amazing cuteness.
Today we were at Jennings St. Yarn store, and the co-proprietor's 16 month old granddaughter was there. She was eating goldfish crackers, and her grandmother suggested she give one to Maggie. Maggie (with prompting, admittedly) very politely said please, and sat there restraining herself from reaching out to the little girl, who was being timid and unsure - you could TELL Maggie was holding back - and when she did get one she was very good about both saying and signing "thank you".
And she was enthusiastic about doing a good job saying and waving BYE!
