weekend summary

celticdragonflyI kept meaning to post and kept being TOOO busy to get to it.
Saturday we went over to the household of some local filker/fen people, who'd moved out here from California also - I ran into them some at cons back there, but hadn't known them well. They're one of the households sponsoring meetings for the local SF group. We had a lovely evening talking and trading stories and listening to some filk. They have a BIG dog. I coped pretty well. Maggie went from intrigued and nervous to intrigued and imperious over the course of the evening.
Katherine, our van, is having serious transmission problems, which is really crimping our style on going places. We have to do this complicated gavotte to arrange to get her to the shop, in such a way that Karl can still get back and forth to work. We're going to do that tonight.
The Cloverleaf socks are done and mailed off. Secret Project #1 is started, and a pain in the butt, but I'm getting it figured out. Last night I came up with Secret Project #2, of the tight deadline, and we shall see if I can do it or not. Eventually I'll be able to post pictures.
