Haircut

I got my hair cut again last week. It had been since early July, and was getting shaggy. I'd been putting it off. Maggie and I went to get groceries, and since she was being so good I risked going in. She sat on my lap patiently through my haircut and then got a touch-up trim herself. She is SUCH a good girl.

I got the same lady, and she did basically the same thing, but I'm not quite as happy with it this time. It seems like she got it even shorter, maybe on the sides and front, and I don't think it's as attractive as last time. Oh well, it'll grow out. Part of it may be that it was growing for all that time - she seemed to think it had grown a lot, although it didn't seem like much to me - so the difference is striking. I must remember to watch it as it grows out, find a stage I really like it at, and take some pictures then and print one out for future hair reference.

I should get Brendan done again soon, he's a bit shaggy. Except in front, where he decided to do his own haircut last month. I don't know if I'll have time this week.

I think at some point every kid cuts his own hair - either in rebellion or just can't wait any longer/the bangs are getting in my way. I know I did it at least twice.

Oh, as a child's own haircut goes, it's not too bad. I didn't have it recut for him because I figured he can live with the consequences.
