Now this is a toughie, because my MOM's on my flist, so it can't be anywhere I went with the family growing up. Or anywhere I've gone with selenite

How about the Pierre Marquette river in Michigan?

Ah, pooh, I need to think of another obscure place, then.

I lived in Lansing from birth to age 3 while Dad was doing his Ph.D. at MSU, then I came back to MSU for my own college, 1987-1991. The service organization I was in, Alpha Phi Omega, had a canoe trip up the Pierre Marquette, hm, must have been 1988?
