I'm feeling much more cheerful tonight that I was earlier in the day. I got some mail! Real actual mail for me! Bounce bounce bounce! That makes me feel very good.

Then I was going off to the knitting Meetup. It was actually close by and selenite was willing to come home early enough that I could go. Yay. Got changed, headed out, got there a few minutes early, even. To the coffeehouse.

The coffeehouse with the sign saying "Open Soon Under New Management". The coffeehouse which was clearly NOT Open Now under Any Management. Bother. I stood around for a while, holding my bag from the local yarn store with "www.knittingfever.com" emblazoned across it, in case anybody else showed up and said "well, let's just move it over to that restaurant over there." Nope. Did not have paper and tape to leave a sign suggesting it myself. And I was getting hungry. So oh well, maybe next month. I came home, and dinner is cooking.

Oh, and Someone gave me a Mission. Clearly the original plan has become difficult, but nevertheless I definitely intend to fulfill the spirit of the mission, if not the exact letter. And a Mission Report will eventually follow.

I like real mail. I sent my parents a letter (like, real, handwritten letter) back the last time they sent me a card, just because I wanted them to be happy they got real mail too! So I know the feeling :)

No sooner didi I read about you having a Mission than I had two songs competing in my head for attention - the theme from "Mission Impossible" and "Mission" by Rush. Good thing I don't mind getting songs stuck in my head :)

I love getting the stuff, though of course the only way to get it is to write letters oneself. So if you're a bit, well, lazy, you have to pick and choose your correspondents. I have four just now and am still not as swift at replying (same week) as I ought to be.
