Before I forget to put it in - Maggie wrote her first letter on Wednesday night. We were drawing and she was talking about letters, so I drew an A for her, and then she copied it. It is recognizably an A.

Fort Worth bakery?

Does anybody locally know of a good Fort Worth bakery, that could turn out a cake that would taste good? (Why yes, I was disappointed with the last time I tried a Walmart cake...)

Maggie has told me exactly what she wants for her birthday cake - white cake with white frosting, pink roses and "pink ABCs" and yellow candles.

Normally I'd want to bake the cake myself - but I can't do roses.

Maggie has just been allowed to open a piece of junk mail. Karl gave it to her. She's ecstatic. It's a card! It's a letter!
