Maggie dresses
Feb. 4th, 2007 08:47 pmIt's time to buy Maggie some more dresses again.
The purple dress-and-leggings combo that was an amazingly lucky find at a second-hand store years ago is today getting what I think will be its last wearing. Despite being a 4T, there's too much wrist and ankle sticking out. She's growing taller.
Pity. I loved that the outfit was dress and leggings - kept her properly warm during the winter. I hate the trend I'm seeing for little girls' dresses to be barely longer than little girls' shirts! Many of them barely cover the tush. I ordered her a dress from Lands' End this winter, with a package of a lot of other kid clothes, and I need to send it back - she's never worn it, I held it up to her and could tell it was way too short. And that's after having taken her measurements and carefully discussing sizes with their online person.
Any suggestions for sources for good, comfortable little girl dresses that aren't so short? Online stores to poke through?
