Well, *that* was embarrassing. I got Jamie up this morning, fed him breakfast, got him dressed, sent him off with his Daddy to get dropped off at school. They came back a few minues later. Spring break.

Particularly embarrassing since Karl had taken them to church and Sunday school yesterday (I'd stayed home in bed, not feeling well), and had mentioned attendance was thin and that he'd been told it was spring break for many school districts. We're just not used to paying much attention to that sort of thing, or having it affect our lives.

I coulda let him sleep in, poor boy.

I think I'm the only person I know who gets excited and happy about daylight savings time.

I have friends who work in computer support, and have been annoyed about this year's because of all the patching they have to do for the date change. And I feel for them.

And I am sorry for anybody who has to walk to public transit in more of the dark than they had before.

But personally, I'm awfully happy to have the change over. I don't get nearly enough chances to be out in the light as it is - but I get way more of them when there's more light in the evenings. There's no way Karl and I will ever get an early morning walk in the sunlight before he goes to work (I can hear him snorting at the very idea), but evening, that could happen. And I always feel so down about trying to have any life in the evenings when it's so dark.
