Doing Things
Apr. 6th, 2007 04:32 pmI'm a bit restless today, insisting on having a productive day.
So far I've picked up easter baskets (the old baskets are gone - I think one of them at least got torn up, and
selenite suspects they succumbed to a cleaning binge) and more empty plastic eggs at Hobby Lobby. They didn't have the kids' wooden table and chairs I was hoping they might. Michael's has had them before, was thinking of going there today, but
fordprfct was looking tired after the Lake Worth stops, so that's for tomorrow. Also went by Lowes and got a much bigger pot to repot the live Christmas tree in. Earlier
fordprfct got the new birdfeeder put up for us - yay - already have seen redheaded finches, house finches, and a few DOVES again finally, whee. Decided to get the tree repotted - which shortly meant the guys taking over the heavy lifting for me, bless them. And
selenite ripped out/cut down the dead white oak sapling. Maggie and I 'refilled' her little pinecone - peanutbutter - birdseed feeder that had been on the dead sapling and I hung it on the corner of the storage shed. And I put more birdseed on the ground to attract more doves.
The idea with the wooden table and chairs is that I'm thinking of painting a set pink and putting these cute Wallies with tea party decorations on them for Maggie's birthday. Also thinking of getting her some Big Kid legos, and moving the lego table out to the nook, which is part of why getting her the other table. And I want to put the star Wallies on Jamie's bed finally. Only I can't find ANY of those wallies packs right now, darn it. We did find the great big butterflies one, that I'm thinking of putting up on Maggie's walls.
The guys are both more wanting a quiet vegetative kind of day, and I think I'm being a bit exhausting for them.
fordprfct said if it was late May, he'd think I was nesting, but it's way too early for that.
Maybe I should go start hardboiling Easter eggs. I'm going to dye a bunch, put stickers on some, and I've got a couple dozen plastic ones to fill, with little chocolate eggs, M&Ms, and starbursts.
